Description

This series of logging tools measures borehole temperature and drilling-fluid (mud) resistivity, and is used for salinization/salt-formation logging. The tool combines temperature and resistivity detectors: the temperature sensor uses a high-precision PT100 thermistor with a precision constant-current circuit, and the resistivity electrode measures the mud resistivity at multiple ranges.

The differential temperature (micro-differential temperature) highlights thin temperature-anomaly zones, while the resistivity curve is used to identify salinization and brine aquifers. Signals are amplified, converted and encoded before being transmitted to the surface recording equipment.

It is mainly applied in hydrological, geothermal, water-salt/salinization, and engineering logging.
