Description
The magnetic three-component logging tool belongs to the family of borehole magnetic survey instruments. It is mainly used to solve geological problems adjacent to and around the borehole: locating blind orebodies near the borehole and determining their spatial position; predicting blind orebodies at the borehole bottom and estimating the possible depth of intersection; delineating the extent of orebodies between boreholes and estimating their attitude, etc.
The tool uses high-sensitivity magnetoresistive sensors to measure the horizontal and vertical components of the magnetic field, and high-sensitivity acceleration sensors to measure the borehole inclination angle. The outer tube is made of non-magnetic copper material.
It is currently widely used in metal mineral logging and is one of the mandatory parameters in metal mineral logging.
