Description
The winch is the core surface equipment of the logging system; power supply and signal transmission must pass through it, so its performance directly affects whether the logging operation can be completed successfully. Current logging winches are divided into three types by motor: DC permanent magnet, DC brushless and AC variable frequency. Among them, the brushless-DC winch’s control system is built inside the winch and is self-contained; the other two types require a matching winch controller. In terms of application environment, permanent-magnet and brushless types are relatively light, suitable for mountainous and hilly areas inaccessible to vehicles and requiring manual carrying, with relatively small cable capacity and lifting force, adapting to wells below 1,500 m. AC variable-frequency types have larger lifting force and capacity and heavier weight, suitable for wells above 1,500 m, preferably vehicle-mounted.
